April update ๐ŸŒท

Hi, guys!
We are back with another update post for Scales of Fate.
It's already the end of April!

We would like to get some more administrative matters out regarding how we would like to release the game and how to work on it. We are...

  • working on assets for the full game, but we are also wanting to put out a new demo. As such, we are thinking of finishing the new demo for the 2022 Yaoi Jam.
  • thinking about releasing the game chapter by chapter rather than in a bulk. (It may also motivate us to continue making it as well).

If you have any thoughts regarding this, feel free to let us know!

1. Writing
First off, we would like to send a friendly reminder that Lian Qiaoma's route will probably be on standby for a while. Because we gave a preview from Luo Siyuan and Mo Rui's route previously, this month we will show a little preview from what is written from Lian Qiaoma's route! (Please note that script previews are subject to change in the final product.)

Luo Siyuan's route, while being the farthest along out of the three with his last chapter in progress, will also be on standby, as the writer for his route will be participating in this year's Otome Jam! That said, we intend to get back into it after it is over.

Mo Rui is making slow but sure progress (just yesterday, a little more than 830 words were written), so his route is now around halfway written.

Also, we have added some in-game glossary terms! They are implemented and slated to be a feature in the updated demo.

2. Art
The biggest thing regarding art is that Mo Rui is going through some design changes. Because some of the upcoming CGs will include Mo Rui, we are prioritizing the redesign for him before continuing to work on the CGs for the new demo.

Below, we have some concept previews of what his new design is like from oofcat! (We really like his new design, haha.) We will update his profile accordingly when the redesign is completed; we hope you look forward to that.

Thank you for reading! Our progress has been slow over the past months, but we do want to be able to share this with you. We really appreciate your patience, and we will see you in June.
