Also, the demo is really wonderful! The art is great, and I'm glad to see a xianxia VN which is so rare here. The plot is intriguing, and I can't wait to find out more about the LIs and the MC himself. Just, a little bug maybe? The Save page is titled with "Load game", and there isn't a Load button on the bottom bar where it should be.
The plot is a little confusing, like "You seem to know I'm not whoever this is" looks like Jin Shen doesn't know Lian Qiaoma, but he recognized him before, and it seems like Lian gave Jin Shen his name? Other than the mystery between these two, the story perfectly makes sense.
Some stupid suggestions:
I really appreciate some Chinese expressions and phrases throughout the game, but the translation of some might be confusing to foreigners XD, like the incense stick thing...As a native. I know you mean “一炷香”, but I think most people don't know how long exactly it is. I strongly recommend adding a glossary or something like that, including names and expressions in Chinese and the meaning of it. Or simply a Chinese version.
Overall I'm thrilled to see such a game come along, looking foward to seeing more of it. Good job devs. :D
Hi, lenfrey! Thank you for playing and commenting! We agree there's not a lot of xianxia visual novels here, so we wanted to try to do one. We're in the middle of creating an updated demo with updated scenes, so we may expand upon the story a bit to reduce confusion.
We're not sure about having a Chinese translation, but we were thinking about including a glossary, either in the updated demo or full game (because this version was submitted for Yaoi Jam, we were a bit too restricted in time to implement the feature).
Other than that, we're happy you enjoy the game and art, and we hope you will continue to support us! (⌒ω⌒)
